Recognising and Responding to Compassion Fatigue Training

Course Content

  • The concept of Compassion Fatigue; the signs, symptoms, risk factors, and effects on the individual, the service and service users.
  • The importance and challenges of self-compassion.
  • Ways to increase and sustain emotional energy including, the effects of diet and exercise and strategies to improve sleep.
  • The importance and impact of different forms of relaxation.

    Participants will leave the training day with a greater awareness of the impact of kindness and compassion along with proactive, sustainable self-care tools and strategies that will enable them to create and sustain their emotional resilience and preserve their ability to be kind, caring and empathetic.

    All participants will be asked to complete pre and post-course questionnaires to monitor the impact of the training and access to a free self-care gift and additional resources.
